These choirs focus on healthy vocal production, music literacy, and teamwork. While emphasis is not placed on making the varsity ensemble, driven students will continually work on building the skills to be successful in Concert Chorale should they choose that path. Students are encouraged to participate in as many opportunities as possible to experience the extent of what high school choir has to offer.

Varsity Ensembles

Concert Chorale

This choir is made up of auditioned 10-12th graders of all voice parts. This ensemble also splits to make up our varsity-level treble and tenor/bass choirs. Students in this ensemble should be self-driven and utilize personal time to practice. Emphasis in this ensemble is on advanced vocal, technical, musical, and sightreading skills to facilitate the performance of high-level repertoire in concert and competition.  Students in this choir should maintain good academic standing or risk removal from the ensemble. Members of this choir are strongly encouraged to take private voice lessons to build their individual voices for a rigorous rehearsal and performance schedule. More information on the audition process can be found here.

Chamber Choir

The Chamber Choir is a highly selective mixed ensemble that is enrolled in both Concert Chorale and Chamber Choir - 5th & 6th period. The Chamber Choir is our main outreach choir, performing for elementary and middle schools throughout the Fall, Winter, and Spring. This ensemble also competes annually at the Madrigal & Chamber Choir Festival which is scheduled in one of three areas, Houston, San Antonio, or Dallas. Students interested in joining should be strong singers, be highly motivated, and have excellent sightsinging skills. More information on the audition process can be found here.
